Job Description

The Travel Superintendent is responsible for managing all field operations associated with a construction project, with a particular focus on Industrial projects such as AMAZON. Ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to exceptional quality standards. Lead and coordinate subcontractors and vendors to execute work proficiently on the project. Responsible for project safety, quality, and compliance. A team leader with the ability to work well under pressure, along with managing and motivating a team of construction professionals.

This role entails supervising a variety of construction projects at different locations. Between assignments, you’ll work from our office to prepare for upcoming projects.

*The position requires FULL-TIME TRAVEL across the country to multiple job sites. *

Responsibilities

Plan and sequence projects, schedule subcontractors, vendors, and trades as well as coordinate construction activities through the project schedule. Oversees safety orientations, weekly meetings, toolbox talks, pre-installation meetings, participates in the RFI and submittal process. Supervises storm water management, inspections, and other regulatory requirements. Collaborate with the ownership and design teams to recognize and resolve constructability issues. Provide strategic vision for field operations and project participants.

Skills

Proficient in plan reading, problem solving, strategic planning, technical writing, critical thinking, and risk mitigation. Software Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam, Procore, MS Office, Outlook, Zoom, MS Teams, AutoCad for plan viewing, and DocuSign.

Experience

Background of 5+ years in construction field operations, preferably with a focus on commercial projects. Proficient knowledge of multiple product types and trades. Manage mid-sized projects.
