Job Description

Pride Health is hiring a Dietitian to support our client in the Seaford, DE medical facility. This is a 16-week contract with the possibility for an extension and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization.

Job Duties:

  • Knowledge of food science, biochemistry, physiology, management science, behavioral science, and social science as applied to human nutrition, human metabolism, the influence of nutrition on specific diseases and conditions, and basic knowledge of clinical research tools.
  • Assess patient conditions, plan suitable diets and evaluate response, and solve problems or design relatively complex systems and programs that cross departmental/divisional lines.
  • Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all members of the interdisciplinary team to enhance collaboration and problem-solving; to interact with patients, families, providers, and other health care professionals; and to provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
  • Ability to counsel and educate patients and teach students.
  • Ability to assist in the supervision of support staff and students.
  • Communication skills are necessary to interpret age-specific responses to assessment, treatment, and interaction with others.
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard to input and obtain data.

Job Requirements/Education /Skills/ Work Experience:

  • Must be credentialed as a Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetics Registration and licensed as a Dietitian-Nutritionist (LDN) in Maryland.
  • Requires two or more years of clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian, including at least one year in a specialty area.
  • Pediatric experience is required.
  • ICU and Nutrition Support experience preferred.
  • Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian in the state of Maryland.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Shifts: Monday-Friday, Day Shift

Hourly Pay: $50- $51/hour
