Director of Manufacturing Engineering

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Engineering.
• 5 plus years of leadership or management experience in the firearms, defense, or manufacturing industries.
• 10 plus years of engineering management experience in senior level engineering leadership.
• Develops and directs procedures and methods to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
• Develop manufacturing metrics, internal and external KPI’s that will drive continuous improvement activities in the manufacturing operations.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the engineering process.
• Oversee the planning, design, development, testing, and delivery of engineering projects.
• Implement and oversee rigorous testing and quality assurance processes.
• Manage schedules, development, activity and results.
• Provides engineering expertise in the areas of tooling, prints, specifications, product maintenance, raw materials and vended products throughout the organization.
• Ensures current and accurate costing (including specials) in conjunction with finance.
• Manages engineering budget.
• Maintain compliance with industry regulations, security standards, and relevant certifications.
• Develops and directs procedures and methods to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
• In-depth understanding of industry regulations and compliance standards, including military and law enforcement requirements.
• Ensures current and accurate costing (including specials) in conjunction with finance.
• Builds, develops and manages engineering team capable of carrying out needed engineering initiatives.
• Lead and manage the Product and Process Engineering teams.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Maintain and enhance manufacturing personnel development including training employee, assigning and directing work.
• Develops the manufacturing plan and establishes procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Deadline and detail-oriented.
