Document Control Coordinator
The Document Control Coordinator is responsible for leading a structured, site-wide approach to document control which includes managing the review dates for controlled documents including SOPs, MWO and BWO, working with business to identify documents that need to be controlled documents and establishing and maintaining the proper document hierarchy and formats. The Document Control Coordinator will develop, coordinate, implement, and communicate the document control initiatives to ensure facility is compliant and auditable. This position is responsible for managing the document control system to ensure documentation procedures are maintained based on Quality Management System and regulations. This role requires the above to be accomplished within IKI’s principles of continuous improvement, customer driven innovation and a win first culture, while meeting company financial and performance metrics.
Skills / Abilities
• Coordinates the document control system to meet and maintain company standards and customer requirements.
• Supports internal and external audit activities.
• May act as subject matter expert related to Records and Information Management activities, interfacing with auditors, as required.
• Seeks input and implements new processes on improved strategies and processes to help achieve goals.
• Responsible for the organization, maintenance and storage of all documents related to compliance.
• Maintains established metrics and achieves goals for the document control system, including open change requests, training courses.
• Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by supervisor.
• Ability to communicate effectively cross-functionally, both written and verbal
• Willingness to set deadlines and follow up with peers and department leaders to keep documents on track
• Must be able to read and interpret the content of QA/QC documents such as technical data, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
Educational/Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate’s degree desired but not required
• Minimum of 2 - 3 years Quality Assurance experience preferred
Physical Demands:
Hours: This position requires 40 hours per week which can be flexible hours between 6am and 4pm.
