Job Title: Electrical and I&C Designer

Responsibilities:

This position will offer you the opportunity to utilize and expand your academic and field experiences in a professional position that offers a wide range of interesting and challenging responsibilities.

The opportunity will have you teaming up with other engineers and designers involved in water and wastewater treatment plant electrical systems betterment and associated modifications, which will include the following:

  • Design electrical drawings including single-line diagrams and plan views.
  • Design instrumentation drawings including P&IDs and control schematics.
  • Perform field audits and gather information about the existing facility’s instrumentation and electrical systems.
  • Review submittals and shop drawings, answer RFIs, issue clarifications, and review O&M manuals.
  • Represent the interests of EIC Engineering in the design and construction progress meetings.
  • Perform inspections and assist with loop testing and project start-up activities.

Qualifications:

Essential skills and experience:

  • Minimum two (2) years of work experience in military, industrial, or water/wastewater facilities.
  • Bachelor’s or Technical training in electrical power distribution, and instrumentation and control.
  • Excellent knowledge of single-line diagrams for power distribution.
  • Working knowledge of motor controls.
  • Familiarity with Eaton, Square D, and ABB electrical distribution equipment.
  • Experience working with schematic drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • General understanding of PLC hardware, input and outputs, and their functions.
  • Working knowledge of P&IDs and instrumentation for water/wastewater and industrial facilities.
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, Xrefs, layers, and scales.

Work Location: Scottsdale, AZ

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Starting at $60k per year depending on experience and qualifications (negotiable)
