Cambridge International Systems, Inc. has a full-time Electrical/Electronic Engineer IV opportunity available based in Charleston, SC. Qualified candidates for this job must possess a current DoD Secret security clearance.

ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES
  • Electrical and electronics engineers design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing of electrical and electronic equipment, including broadcast and communications systems, electric motors, machinery controls, lighting, and wiring in buildings, automobiles, aircraft, radar and navigation systems, and transmission devices used by electric utilities. Electrical and electronics engineers work closely with computers.
  • Electrical and electronics engineers specialize in different areas such as power generation, transmission, distribution, communications, and electrical equipment manufacturing. Electrical and electronics engineers
  • design new products, write performance requirements, and develop maintenance schedules. They also test equipment, solve operating problems, and estimate the time and cost of engineering projects.
Required QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Master’s or BS degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
  • Ten (10) years with Masters or 14 years with BS degree of professional experience with design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing/integration of electrical and electronic equipment, to include: Technology Analysis and Assessment, Design Definition, Development of Systems Specification, Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Integration, Test & Evaluation Criteria, and Logistics support of C4ISR or similar requirements.
  • Five (5) years of technical experience in support of engineering, testing, implementing, and leading team on control systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
  • Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • In some occasions, overnight travel may be required.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Cambridge International Systems complies with Temporary Duty Station (TDY)/Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) vaccination requirements.  If this position requires OCONUS travel (listed above), lists applicable current vaccination requirements by location.
  • Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
  • Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
  • May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
