Groundskeeper and Landscape Supervisor
Position Summary:
A private Family in the Southwest Denver area seeks a passionate, knowledgeable, and proactive Landscape and Groundskeeper to join their Facilities Team. This individual will be responsible for supporting the year-round care and presentation of landscaped grounds across multiple residences. The ideal candidate will have strong familiarity with Colorado’s unique ecosystem and native plant life, an aptitude for vendor coordination, and a passion for sustainable, organic practices.
This role requires a self-motivated individual who enjoys working outdoors in all seasons and can both take initiative and collaborate with others. The Landscape and Groundskeeper will report to the Director of Family Services and work closely with the Grounds Gardener and other Facilities Team members. The successful candidate must possess an unwavering commitment to protecting the Family’s privacy and confidentiality. The Grounds Supervisor may occasionally be tasked with working at other residences in Colorado and other remote properties. The Family has a history of retaining valued staff for long periods and is seeking a long-term placement in this important role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Landscape Maintenance
• Manage relationships and scheduling with landscaping vendors and service providers.
• Perform and support seasonal Spring and Fall clean-up efforts across multiple properties.
• Care of existing landscape beds including bulbs, shrubs, trees, perennials and annuals.
• Transplanting, fertilizing, and providing necessary treatments for trees and shrubs.
• Winter pruning and shaping.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot irrigation systems, including repairing or replacing sprinkler heads.
• Assist in the consultation and execution of landscape designs, collaborating with the Family on layout, aesthetic goals, and plant selection.
• Maintain healthy and visually pleasing grounds using organic, sustainable methods.
Sustainability & Regional Expertise
• Apply knowledge of Colorado's native plants and natural environment to promote ecological balance and reduce water usage.
• Provide informed guidance to the Family about plant selection and environmental considerations.
• Embrace and promote sustainable landscaping principles, including organic growth and low-impact maintenance.
Required Skills and Knowledge
• Practical knowledge of irrigation systems and minor repairs.
• Familiarity with native Colorado plant species and regional climate challenges.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with team members and vendors.
• Interest and experience in sustainable landscaping and organic gardening.
• Excellent communication skills for family-facing interactions and design consultations.
Additional
• Able to lift 50 lbs. frequently and work in all weather conditions.
• Must be comfortable working around family residences and pets.
• Flexible and adaptable to varying tasks and seasonal demands.
Education & Experience:
• 3+ years of relevant landscaping or groundskeeping experience.
• Certifications or coursework in horticulture, sustainability, or irrigation systems preferred.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Strong command of English; Spanish is a plus.

Additional Information:
• Primary work location: Daily at Family residence; may support nearby properties.
• Local travel required. Must provide own transportation to and from work.
• This is a full-time, hourly role. Eligible for overtime, employer-paid medical insurance, 401k, and 15 days PTO.
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, with occasional evenings and weekends.
• Background check, drug screen, references, and online assessment required .
• Compensation: ($65-80k/year) – commensurate with experience.
