Position Title: Hydraulic Engineer III

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ months contract

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Outages, Commercial Coordination, Scheduling, Gas Control, and Field Operations personnel to support day-to-day operations.
• Serve in an operations-focused role responsible for hydraulic modeling of Enbridge’s U.S. and Canadian pipeline systems, covering all stations on a daily basis.
• Perform modeling of planned and unplanned outages to evaluate and forecast daily gas flow capacities across the system.
• Accurately post system-wide capacity impacts, adjusting models dynamically in response to operational changes and outages.
• Maintain flexibility and openness to feedback, as modeling errors will occur and continuous learning is expected.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 7–10 years of experience in hydraulic modeling, specifically within the natural gas industry, with a focus on mainline compression and gas pipeline systems.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex systems.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Experience using industry-standard gas modeling tools such as Flowdesk, NextGen, Winflow, or Synergy Gas.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience modeling long-distance pipelines and gas compression systems, including electrically driven compressors.

Preferred Profile:

• Candidates with backgrounds primarily in process engineering, offshore drilling, well drilling, or municipal water utilities are not aligned with the role.
