Acceler8Talent is partnered with a well-funded AI hardware startup on the cutting edge of photonics and is looking for a Lead Reliability Test Engineer. This company is pioneering next-gen, high-speed photonic solutions to power the connectivity needs of AI infrastructure and high-performance computing.

In this pivotal hardware role, you’ll lead all the reliability tests including Telcordia GR-468, UL Safety, and Laser testing for their optical transceivers. They are partnered with one of the largest hyperscalers in the world, so they need someone who has been customer facing in past roles and has experience with 3rd party testing.

Your expertise will be essential in bringing their first optical transceiver product to the market.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute reliability testing protocols in compliance with Telcordia GR-468 , UL Safety , and other industry standards.
• Conduct laser testing and performance characterization to ensure product compliance and durability.
• Collaborate with third-party testing labs for external validation and certification processes.
• Serve as a customer-facing technical expert , addressing inquiries and presenting reliability data to customers.
• Perform failure analysis and root cause investigations for product improvements.
• Create detailed reliability reports and provide feedback to internal teams for product enhancements.
• Stay updated on reliability standards and implement best practices for optical components.

Requirements

• Education : Master’s or PHD degree in Engineering, Optics, Physics, or a related field.
• Experience : Minimum of 8+ years in reliability testing within the optics or photonics industry.
• Standards Knowledge : Hands-on experience with Telcordia GR-468 , UL Safety , and laser reliability testing .
• Customer-Facing Skills : Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers and presenting technical results.
• Third-Party Testing : Proven experience managing collaborations with external testing labs.
• Technical Proficiency : Familiarity with optical testing equipment (e.g., spectrometers, power meters, environmental chambers).
• Problem-Solving : Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and driving root cause analysis.
