Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Mid-Level Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Engineer with 3-6 years of experience to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a diverse and dynamic environment, providing field and office support for various environmental services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support environmental services including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, environmental remediation, and compliance programs.
  • Develop work plans, health and safety plans, field sampling plans, and analysis plans.
  • Conduct field data collection and documentation related to site investigations, drilling operations, installation of water wells or soil borings, lithological logging, and various field tests and measurements of soil, air, surface water, and groundwater properties.
  • Oversee investigation and remediation subcontractors including laboratories, excavation, and drilling companies.
  • Coordinate and manage environmental projects, ensuring tasks are executed according to project timelines and meet client needs. Projects can range from small site assessments to large-scale environmental remediation efforts.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure efficient resource allocation. Monitor timelines and ensure projects stay within scope, budget, and deadlines.
  • Prepare soil boring logs, cross-sections, contour maps, well schematics, and site maps.
  • Draft comprehensive technical reports, including environmental assessments, audit findings, regulatory compliance reports, and recommendations for mitigation or improvement.
  • Ensure all project documents and environmental reports are properly archived and comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Ensure that project files are complete and easily accessible for future reference.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Ecology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-6 years of hands-on experience in environmental consulting, compliance, site assessments, or related fields.
  • Experience with Phase I/II ESAs, SRP, UST closures, SPCC, RCRA, wetlands, NPDES permitting, erosion and sediment control, CWA, and compliance auditing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and technical presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a desire to lead tasks.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply information on State and Federal technical guidance and regulations.
