Network Services Engineer

Description:

MAINSAIL Group is in search of a Network Services Engineer to support the Cyber and Networks Directorate located at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, Massachusetts. This position supports the United States Air Force and the Base Information Transport Infrastructure Program.

Responsibilities include supporting work that involves the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in voice, data, and video formats. Duties include analyzing and recommending network requirements, recommending and maintaining network architecture and infrastructure, analyzing network workload, monitoring network capacity and performance, diagnosing and resolving network problems, recommending network backup and recovery procedures, installing, testing, maintaining, and upgrading network operating systems software, and ensuring the rigorous application of cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Must be a US citizen with an active Secret Clearance. Minimum 3+ years experience in a network engineering position. Thorough knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls. Must be able to use, configure, troubleshoot, and operate Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, and HP network devices.
