This opportunity is perfect for individuals with a strong foundation in plant science, horticulture, or a related field who are eager to engage in applied research with tangible impacts on crop development and productivity.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for plant care, phenotyping, sampling, and conducting experimental treatments. It combines hands-on work with opportunities to assist in experimental design and data interpretation, contributing to broader agricultural research goals.

  • Participate in team meetings to present data and contribute to scientific discussions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Plant Biology, Horticulture, Plant Molecular Biology, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with plants in greenhouses or growth chambers.
  • Basic understanding of plant physiology, molecular biology, and biotechnology.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual skills (e.g., precision tasks like pollination).
  • Effective organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow protocols and accurately document data.
  • Comfortable working both independently and in a team setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with wheat or other cereal crops.
  • Familiarity with plant genomics or molecular lab techniques.
  • Curiosity-driven with a proactive attitude toward scientific problem-solving.
  • Ability to think critically and understand the broader implications of research findings.
