The Superintendent is a key management position responsible for the successful execution and completion of projects within a specified timeframe and budget. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing resources, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining high-quality standards. 

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination

  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting. 
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams, to ensure smooth project execution. 
  • Oversee all onsite construction activities from pre-construction to close-out. 

Resource Management

  • Manage and allocate labor and subcontractor resources efficiently. 
  • Coordinate material and equipment deliveries to the jobsites. 
  • Deliver projects on budget. (labor) 

Quality Control

  • Ensure that work meets quality standards and complies with project specifications. 
  • Implement and enforce quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle. 

 Safety Compliance

  • Oversee and enforce safety protocols and regulations on the job site. 
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any safety concerns promptly.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance. 
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. 
  • Foster career advancement of direct reports and field team members. 

Communication

  • Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients and team members. 
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions. 

Problem Solving

  • Identify and address issues or obstacles that may impact project timelines or outcomes. 
  • Implement effective problem-solving strategies to keep the project on track. 

Documentation

· Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including daily reports, progress reports, and change orders. 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a superintendent in a similar role. 
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. 
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and building codes. 
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Valid driver's license, DOT Medical card and any required certifications. 
  • Proficient in interpreting construction plans and blueprints. 
  • Knowledge of pool construction materials, equipment, and techniques. 
  • Understanding of safety regulations and compliance. 
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
