Job Summary

We are looking for individual to join our client’s team as Radiology Technologist. Under supervision and according to established policies and procedures, perform accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology. Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation. Apply principles of radiation protection and comply with regulations. Assumes responsibility for designated area and provides clinical instruction as appropriate. Always Follows Company philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care.

 

Job Description

  • Performs quality diagnostic exams after verification of patient identification and physician order.
  • Acquire an accurate patient history and document in the medical record.
  • Monitors patients during procedures to ensure patient safety.
  • Perform radiographic and related patient care procedures using age-appropriate methods for patient’s physical ability and/or limitations.
  • Ensure STAT requests are relayed to radiologist in a timely manner.
  • Effectively communicates on an inter/intra-department level with customer service, administrative, medical staff, and peers.
  • Demonstrates ability to proficiently operate diagnostic imaging equipment and follow policy for any malfunctions or quality control failures.

 

Skills Required

  • Utilize ALARA standards for minimizing radiation exposure to patient, staff and self.
  • Provides procedural information/education to the patient/family prior to each exam.
  • This contributes to the effective operations of the department by assisting fellow employees and staying in compliance with quality assurance and quality control.
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently use hospital computer systems for verifying orders, viewing schedules and sending information to PACS.
  • Assists in the training of students/new hires.
  • Ensures equipment is wiped down between patients and the exam room is clean and properly stocked with linen and supplies.
  • Maintains competency in all assigned areas including, but not limited to fluoroscopic, general diagnostic, orthopedic and operating procedures.

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • Required Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program.
  • Training increased at student level. Required
  • CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist 180 Days required
  • CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required

 

Additional Requirements

  • Shift Time: for afternoons (3p-11:30p) and 1 for midnights (11p-7:30a or 9p-7:30a) 
  • Scrub Color: Royal Blue 

 

  Pay Rate

  • $44.00 per hour
