Job Description

We are seeking a talented Rigging Engineer III to join our team and support high-profile heavy lifting and construction projects based out of Long Beach, CA. In this role, you’ll develop engineered lift drawings, perform rigging and lift analyses, design customized lifting solutions, and provide technical guidance to field and estimating teams. You’ll mentor junior staff, assist with procurement and preliminary planning, travel to project sites as needed, and ensure the safe, efficient execution of critical lifts. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer passionate about solving complex rigging challenges and working in a fast-paced project environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a B.S. in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering and a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license. We are looking for 8–10 years of experience in rigging structural design, including expertise in below-the-hook design, temporary supports, falsework, bolted and welded connections, and structural stability. Strong construction and procurement experience is essential, along with proficiency in reading and approving shop and fabrication drawings. A Master’s degree and software skills in RISA 3D, Mathcad, MATLAB, SolidWorks, AutoCAD 3D, or Revit are highly preferred. Familiarity with ASME, ASTM, AISC, and ASCE codes will be an advantage.

This is a hybrid office/field role based at our Long Beach, CA headquarters, with up to 20% travel required. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
