Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to rebuild our sales team from the ground up, hiring strong sales reps, manage under strong management plan, and drive sales growth in the exploding casino industry. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in building a sales department and hiring a strong sales team. This candidate will have a strong background in B2B, business development, inside and outside wholesale and distribution sales, with a proven ability to analyze market trends and customer needs. This role requires exceptional leadership skills and the ability to foster collaboration within the sales team while managing key accounts and enhancing customer service.

General Job Description

As our Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing a sales plan, managing a 6 to 8-person sales team of inside sales reps, customer service reps, and potentially business development reps to service the casino gaming market and eventually other verticals, which provide electronic equipment sales and service. The successful candidate will cultivate a professional, positive and competitive environment that is conducive to growing sales. You will work with the sales team to strategically identify customers and develop a plan to maximize returns by product and customer segmentations. You will develop and sharpen their transactional, technical, and consultative sales skills and monitor their performance. You will report to the General Manager and work with peer management and purchasing staff to grow our customer base and product line. Responsibilities

  • Execute sales plan for US casino market and key OEM and international accounts
  • Strategic thinker, driving both long- and short-term goals.
  • Manage sales team developing their salesmanship and pushing performance
  • Increase sales team product and customer knowledge and strategic skillset
  • Create, lead and manage sales training programs to increase capability
  • Develop sales plans for strategic customers or customer groups to maximize sustainable returns year over year
  • Increase sales team CRM effectiveness in customer contact and sales planning
  • Help develop creative sales, ecommerce and marketing programs to incentivize the customer base and motivate the sales team
  • Monitor sales team efforts and results and address areas of weak performance
  • Set sales team quotas and goals and develop sales forecasts
  • Data Junkie, who knows how to parse the numbers for information and insights
  • Build a competitive but positive sales environment conducive to sales growth
  • Knowledge of pricing strategies and negotiation
  • Occasionally visit strategic customers on larger deals
  • Bridge builder between all stakeholders’ interests
  • Participate in annual tradeshow in Las Vegas
  • Up to 25% Travel

Wage

  • Aggressive but depends on relevant experience

Programs/Software

  • 10 yrs. Experience in CRM/ERP systems and practices, such as Oracle NetSuite
  • 5 yrs. Experience in working with Ecommerce and Eprocurement systems, such as SuiteCommerce, ARIBA and Coupa
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, Outlook & Teams)

Qualifications / Professional Experience

  • Sales staff and Department management experience required
  • Sales performance measurement and goal setting experience required
  • Solid decision-making, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Strong customer and territory planning, negotiating and relationship building skills
  • Excellent sales personnel management and communication skills
  • Strong team building and collaborative skills with sales team and peer managers
  • Proficient IT skills with emphasis on CRMs, ERPs, spreadsheets and collaboration tools like MS Teams
  • Previous P&L responsibility, along with budget planning and management
  • Highly organized; able to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Must be able to work unsupervised, and self-manage workload and time, and effectively utilize IT, HR and peer manager resources
  • Excellent and Professional written and verbal communications skills including spelling and grammar
  • Able to thrive in a high-stress and fast-paced environment

Certification/Education

  • 10 years in Business-to-Business Sales Management experience (REQUIRED)
  • 10 years in B2B sales of technical product (REQUIRED)
  • Wholesale and distribution sales experience (preferred)
  • Experience in selling new and used product and services (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (preferred)
