Job Description

BASIC PURPOSE: Support the financial and analytical functions of the Norwegian Cruise Line's finance and strategy team. Develop monthly forecasts and annual plans. Prepare, analyze, and present strategic planning and process improvement project information.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Update the monthly forecasts and annual financial plans under the Norwegian Brand for the Advertisement & Promotion areas.
• Assist management in automating reports and implementing efficient and effective monitoring tools with standard KPIs as required.
• Manage the monthly accrual process for the marketing organization, which will include domestic and various international cost centers.
• Utilize Salesforce and Excel macros to generate variance reports for the global teams.
• Acquire data from primary or secondary sources to create strategy-driving models on an ad-hoc basis.
• Classify, update, and process invoices.
• Create and maintain documentation of business processes and procedures.
• Work with the Enterprise Analytics team to automate standard reporting and create dashboards in Tableau.
• Support the month-end SG&A reconciliation and variance explanation.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Develop, modify, and maintain custom reports for ad-hoc needs to support business decisions.
• Interpret data, analyze results, and provide insights through commentary and recommendations.
• Identify process improvements by partnering with the business to understand information requirements to develop automated processes and increase productivity.
• Assist in preparing detailed presentations for members of senior management.
• Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Business, Finance, or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 4 years' experience in Finance, Accounting, Strategic Planning, or a related field. Cruise line industry experience is preferred.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS: Advanced working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Tableau. Preferably experience with data mining tools (Hyperion/Brio), PeopleSoft accounting general ledger, and Hyperion Essbase financial reporting. Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and reporting. Verbal and written communication skills to effectively work with team members and present recommendations. Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with various internal business partners. Strong focus and attention to detail. Ability to manage ad hoc requests in concert with existing workload and shift priorities per business needs. Interpersonal skills to work successfully in a team-based environment.
