A Brooklyn-based boutique hospitality firm, known for its innovative and thoughtfully crafted designs, is seeking a talented Senior Designer to join their team. The firm specializes in creating unique, high-end spaces that blend functionality with artistic expression, making a lasting impact on the hospitality industry. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage interior design projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and company standards Provide creative direction, develop innovative design solutions, and guide the design team in space planning and concept development Mentor junior designers and interns, ensuring alignment with design intent, client needs, and project goals Collaborate with clients, consultants, and vendors during all project phases, presenting design concepts, managing project documentation, and overseeing FF&E coordination Ensure compliance with building codes, work with AOR to finalize drawings, and oversee construction administration services Oversee multiple projects, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution Skills & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture (additional certifications or advanced degrees are a plus) At least 7 years of professional experience in interior design, specifically in hospitality Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite; knowledge of Revit and Rhino is an asset Familiarity with sustainability efforts and ability to incorporate innovative, sustainable design practices Strong problem-solving abilities and understanding of construction materials and methods NCIDQ, AIA License, or LEED® Accreditation is a plus
