Position: Full-time Senior Packaging Designer

Location: Remote US only

Our client specializes in branding, packaging design, and marketing for the cannabis industry. Their team is made up of passionate, innovative individuals dedicated to delivering exceptional design solutions that elevate brands and drive growth.

We’re seeking a talented and experienced Senior Packaging Designer to join our client’s team. In this role, you’ll take the lead in developing packaging concepts and seeing them through to final production across a variety of cannabis-related products. You’ll collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to translate brand strategies into bold, effective packaging that stands out on the shelf—and meets all production standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create packaging designs from concept to production for cannabis goods, THC beverages, and related tools
• Partner with clients and internal teams to understand brand positioning, audience, and packaging goals
• Stay current with design trends and market insights to inform creative direction
• Present concepts and articulate design thinking to clients for feedback and approval
• Ensure production-ready files meet all technical specs and brand guidelines
• Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth execution and quality control
• Guide and mentor junior designers with feedback, direction, and support
• Manage multiple design projects, timelines, and priorities with strong attention to detail
• Stay up to date on design tools, techniques, and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field
• 5+ years of packaging design experience (agency experience strongly preferred)
• A strong portfolio demonstrating creative range and execution in packaging design
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop
• Solid understanding of packaging materials, printing processes, and production standards
• Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Experience mentoring or leading junior designers is a plus
