Job Description

Senior LTL Pricing Analyst

Job description :

  • Utilize data analysis techniques to conduct comprehensive pricing analyses and current market research aimed at understanding customer behavior and identifying trends, opportunities, and threats in the LTL market
  • Participate in the day-to-day LTL pricing operations, including carrier contract and price negotiation, management of the bid cycle, updates to contracts and tariffs, customer onboarding, and other daily pricing-related tasks
  • Maintain CRM to ensure all LTL Pricing Agreements and Contracts are up to date
  • Update LTL pricing contracts, build and maintain contracts and tariffs
  • Assist in resolving rating issues or disputes
  • Assist with the setup of new transportation partners and advise on pricing component of carrier integrations
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of LTL pricing strategies to ensure alignment with company financial goals, identifying opportunities for process improvements in pricing analysis and strategy development and recommending any adjustments
  • Create, analyze, and produce audits, statistical analyses, pricing reports, and business intelligence reports
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure correct payment to LTL carriers

Qualifications :

  • MUST have at least 2 years of LTL pricing experience
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role in the logistics industry
  • A degree in economics, supply chain, mathematics, finance, or related field preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (i.e., phone, video, email)
  • Ability to persuade via verbal and written communication
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Office, specifically Excel, etc.) and the ability to learn and navigate industry-based software
  • The ability to cope with pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Proven experience at working well independently and collaboratively with a team
