Job Title: Service Operations Lead

Location: Novi, MI

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Duration: 6 Months (with possible extension)

Payrate: $25/hr. to $30/hr.

Description:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Service Operations Lead to join our team in the Novi/Detroit area. This role is integral to ensuring smooth daily operations within a fast-paced service environment and supporting field teams to deliver high-quality service to customers.

The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, experience in service industry operations, and a keen understanding of billing, procurement, and customer account management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage service contracts to ensure profitability, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
• Support sales and field teams by identifying and assisting with service and repair opportunities.
• Monitor service job progress to ensure on-time and within-budget completion.
• Manage all job-related charges including time tracking and Procard purchases.
• Oversee accounts receivable and assist in resolving customer billing issues.
• Procure necessary parts and materials for maintenance, repair, and emergency calls.
• Manage warranty and job startup documentation.
• Set up new jobs and billing schedules in the system.
• Review and follow up on open orders to ensure timely job closure.
• Ensure accurate and timely billing for all job types including service contracts, T&M, and fixed-price work.
• Actively participate in daily operations meetings and collaborate on improving KPIs.
• Identify operational blockers and work with leadership to implement continuous improvement strategies.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a service industry role.

Preferred:

• 2–5 years of experience in the HVAC or mechanical services industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and SAP.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field.
