Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Slitter Machine Operator to join their team in the blown film manufacturing industry. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining slitter machines to ensure precise cutting and high-quality output. Job Type: Full-time (Permanent)

Salary: $43,680 - $46,800

Shifts:

  • 1st Shift: Sunday-Tuesday, 6 AM-6 PM / Wednesday, 6 AM-12 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Sunday-Wednesday, 6 PM-6 AM / Thursday, 12 AM-6 AM
  • 3rd Shift: Wednesday, 12 PM-6 PM / Thursday-Saturday, 6 AM-6 PM
  • 4th Shift: Wednesday (starting Thursday), 12 AM-6 AM / Thursday-Saturday, 6 PM-6 AM

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and adjust slitter machines according to job specifications
  • Inspect and measure film rolls to ensure quality standards are met
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
  • Load and unload film rolls using hoists, forklifts, or other equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance
  • Maintain accurate production records, including waste tracking and output reports
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
  • Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure product compliance

Requirements:

  • Previous experience operating slitter machines, preferably in the blown film or flexible packaging industry
  • Ability to read and interpret job orders, blueprints, and machine settings
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Forklift certification (preferred)
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Work Environment:

  • Standing for extended periods and lifting materials up to 50 lbs
  • Exposure to heat, noise, and industrial chemicals in a manufacturing setting
