As we continue to grow and evolve, we’re seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to take charge of our structural engineering team. This is a high-impact role with direct influence on product quality, team development, and strategic direction.

About the Role

As the Structural Engineer, you’ll be the technical leader for our structural and mechanical design efforts. Working closely with cross-functional departments—including manufacturing, sales, service, and installation—you will play a key role in maintaining and improving our engineering standards and product delivery. You’ll lead a small team of engineers and collaborate with senior leadership to drive innovation, efficiency, and excellence across the board.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a small on-site engineering team (1–2 direct reports).
  • Provide cross-functional engineering support across departments including manufacturing, sales, service, and installation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in design practices, production processes, and quality control.
  • Create and review approval and shop drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Perform structural and component analysis in accordance with CMAA standards using proprietary tools and Excel-based resources.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and production readiness of team design outputs.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide preliminary engineering support for customer quotations.
  • Requisition necessary structural and mechanical components for ongoing and upcoming projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel-based engineering tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship experience.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to Houston, TX (on-site role, no travel required).
