Job Title: Valve Automation Supervisor (Commercial Operations)

Location: Houston, Texas

Salary: $120,000

About the Role:

JBAndrews is partnering with a leading multinational industrial equipment manufacturer, one of the world’s largest suppliers of pumps, valves, mechanical seals, automation systems, and related services to sectors including oil & gas, power, and chemicals. They are seeking a Valve Automation Supervisor to lead the inside sales and commercial operations team in Houston. This is a key leadership role focused on managing and developing a small team of application engineers, supporting the quotation process, and ensuring a high standard of technical and commercial support to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, coach, and mentor a team of 3 inside application engineers.
  • Oversee daily operations of the valve automation quotation and sales support process.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of quotes and technical documentation.
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex applications and customer interactions.
  • Work closely with external sales, engineering, and operations teams to align on customer requirements and project scopes.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and customer focus within the team.
  • Identify training and development needs, and support performance management.
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders.

What You’ll Need:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the valve industry, with a strong understanding of valve automation systems.
  • Proven experience in inside sales or commercial operations roles within the industrial equipment or process automation sectors.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong technical and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality support to customers.
