Job Description

The assistant property manager has a thorough understanding of (and ability to manage) all external functions and activities directly related to enhancing the property’s occupancy, performance and public perceptions. This includes managing our efforts concerning tenant relations, marketing and leasing, project management, and vendor coordination.

  1. Preparing and scheduling property viewings, conducting property tours and interviewing prospective tenants.
  2. Assist with managing the day-to-day operations of the property.
  3. Effectively manage rent collection and delinquencies.
  4. Conduct face-to-face meetings with tenants, management and vendors and resolve any disputes or complaints calmly and effectively.
  5. Effectively build and maintain relationships with the internal team and all external contracts, including, but not limited to, vendors, suppliers, tenants, contractors, contracted services, local authorities, local code officials, etc.
  6. Effectively assist in managing and coordinating vendors through a thorough understanding of all applicable service or maintenance contracts and maintain open communication with vendors through regular meetings.
  7. Understand the scheduling of preventative maintenance, repairs, services, grounds maintenance, HVAC maintenance, painting, cleaning, and other maintenance that efficiently operates the property.
  8. Other duties as assigned by Property Manager.

This position requires a high school diploma/GED, coupled with 2-3 years previous experience in Property Management or Real Estate.

  3. Proficiency in MS Office and relevant databases and software.
  4. Interpersonal savvy with strong communication and presentation skills.

  6. Strong organizational and stress management skills.
  7. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
