Job Title: Safety Manager – Large-Scale Solar Farm

Location: Desert Center, CA

Contract Duration: 9+ months

Per diem: YES

Pay Range: $45 - $52 ST (OT Eligible)

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enforce safety protocols on a large-scale solar farm project in Desert Center, CA . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar farm safety management , ensuring compliance with all regulatory and site-specific safety requirements. This position offers a long-term contract opportunity with competitive pay and overtime eligibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections , audits, and hazard assessments.
• Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions to promote a strong safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and company safety standards .
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near-misses , implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Monitor and ensure proper use of PPE, fall protection, and other safety measures .
• Collaborate with construction managers, subcontractors, and site personnel to maintain safety standards.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation , including training records and incident reports.
• Interface with regulatory agencies and client representatives on safety compliance matters.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in safety management on large-scale solar farm projects .
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, Cal/OSHA, NFPA, and environmental health and safety regulations .
• Experience developing and implementing site-specific safety plans .
• Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, hazard analysis, and safety audits .
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite full-time in Desert Center, CA for the contract duration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) certification strongly preferred.
• Experience working on utility-scale solar projects .
• OSHA 500/510 certification a plus.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
