Job Description

Alexandre Birman is seeking a highly motivated and versatile Wholesale & Marketing Intern to join our team for the Summer and Fall 2025 season. This unique internship offers the opportunity to support both our Sales & Merchandising and Marketing teams. You’ll be involved in a variety of tasks, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the luxury footwear industry while working closely with both departments. This is an exciting role for someone looking to get hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

This position is available for internship credit or a $15 per hour compensation rate.

Please note that if the internship will be accounted for internship credit it will be unpaid. However, the primary focus of this internship is educational, offering you valuable exposure to the industry while assisting with real-world projects across sales, merchandising, and marketing.

Responsibilities:

Sales Support:

  • Accompany the sales team on local product knowledge clinics
  • Assist with showroom setup, market appointments, and maintaining the showroom during market
  • Communicate regularly with clients to assist with sample requests and daily tasks
  • Compile ATS reports, track POs, and update shipping logs
  • Maintain an organized sample closet and monitor sample requests between clients

Merchandising Support:

  • Assist with weekly store visits and visual merchandising (VM)
  • Communicate with store teams to assist with product-related questions and needs
  • Analyze and recap weekly selling data, track reorders, replenishment, and seasonal shipments
  • Help compile and maintain Excel documents and PowerPoint presentations related to DTC buys, transfers, and training sessions

Marketing & Event Support:

  • Assist with event logistics and setup, particularly high-profile events with influencers and celebrities
  • Help with photoshoot prep and assist on set during shoots
  • Assist in event and social media weekly recaps
  • Support with creating and maintaining PowerPoint and Excel presentations for marketing campaigns
  • Assist with budget tracking and reporting for events and marketing initiatives
  • Help with store merchandising and window displays
  • Support gifting initiatives and coordination
  • Assist with market preparation and photoshoot coordination

Collaborative Work:

  • Work closely with both the sales, merchandising, and marketing teams to ensure smooth communication and project execution
  • Assist with various ad-hoc tasks across departments, providing valuable support for ongoing projects

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience in wholesale, merchandising, or marketing is a plus
  • A passion for luxury fashion and an interest in both the merchandising and marketing sides of the business
  • Flexibility to assist during events and photoshoots, which may occur after normal working hours or on weekends
  • Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a team
