Job Description

We are seeking a Data Analyst to support the implementation of quality improvement programs within a leading healthcare institution. This role is critical in ensuring that services adhere to national quality standards and contribute to enhanced patient care and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with healthcare data, and the ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses, and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze large clinical datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in anesthesia services.
  • Extract and manage clinical data from electronic health records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic) while ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain clinical performance reports and dashboards to enhance transparency and information flow among providers.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives by identifying patients meeting pre-defined review criteria.
  • Create new methodologies for tracking and analyzing relevant clinical data to support continuous improvement.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and clinical benchmarks to assess service effectiveness.
  • Maintain project management tools to ensure timely execution of quality improvement activities.
  • Submit data to industry quality programs and stay updated on advancements in data analytics.
  • Assist with preparing reports and data presentations for leadership and department meetings.
  • Maintain a library of clinical guidelines and protocols for quality improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in healthcare data analysis, preferably in clinical settings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly Epic.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, R, Python, and Tableau.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A proactive mindset with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
